Grigory Burenkov is a highly experienced financier and asset management professional with a comprehensive understanding of taxation, corporate finance, and investment strategy. Having left Russia in 2016, Burenkov established Wheelerson Management Ltd in Cyprus and subsequently expanded its operations to the United Arab Emirates.
Under Burenkov's leadership, Wheelerson Management has focused on investments in green energy and financial services across various regions, including Asia, the United States, and Europe. In 2023, Grigory made the strategic decision to integrate Osome Group's holdings into Wheelerson Management as a portfolio company.
Burenkov's choice to base his company in Cyprus was influenced by the country's strategic location, which allowed him to leverage his extensive expertise and international network. This decision was motivated by his desire to pursue entrepreneurial ventures outside the traditional corporate framework.
Grigory Burenkov began his professional career at Ernst & Young in 2002, where he rapidly progressed to the position of senior consultant within the international tax planning division.
In 2007, he transitioned to Deloitte, where he assumed responsibilities in tax planning and structuring, while also managing corporate M&A transactions, asset acquisitions, IPOs, and eurobond issuances. As his career progressed, Burenkov's focus shifted to investment management and, later, to the energy sector.
Grigory Burenkov holds a degree in "Money, Banking, and Finance" from Middlesex University Business School and a diploma in "International Corporate Finance." He resides in Limassol with his wife and their three children: two daughters and a son.
